Ron Thomas, of Spokane, WA and Yuma, AZ passed away on January 31, 2018.

Ron was born September 17, 1945 to parents John W. Thomas II and Helen M. Thomas. He graduated from West Valley High School in 1964. Ron was a man of many talents. He was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. He enjoyed helping others and always had a project that he was working on. You could find Ron down in his hangar with friends solving the world's problems, soaring through the backwoods or headed to breakfast in his airplane, enjoying the tranquility of the water while on his boat, or riding through the desert in his Side by Side RZR. Family and friends enjoyed many adventures with him. If you were with Ron, there was never a dull moment. He would often say "A stranger is just a friend that I haven't met yet."

Ron is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mavis; sons, Scott (Tammy), and Ron Thomas Jr; grandchildren: Shelbi (Tug), Sydni, Kolby, Jessie, Rylee, Jessica; siblings: John, Janet (Ron), Donna, Darlene (Rod), Bill, Karen; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A memorial service was held at 11am on Saturday, February 17th, at the Post Falls Senior Center, a reception followed.
